Lisa has loved swimming and running as long as she can remember and ran track and cross country in high school. In college, Lisa found the bike and raced competitively on her collegiate team for 3 years, qualifying for Nationals twice. Lisa then found triathlon in her 30’s and raced age-group for many years before taking a break to focus on raising her 3 boys. During this break, Lisa was co-founder and Director for 4 years of Brett’s Ride for Rhabdo, a charity bike ride in Hickory, NC. Lisa has found her way back to triathlons, combining her love of sports nutrition with her love of triathlon by becoming a USA Triathlon level 1 coach in 2017. This feels like the most natural of marriages, as nutrition really is the 4th discipline of triathlon (and all endurance sports!) and perhaps should be the first!
Lisa has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Memphis, 1991. She is a licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the states of Tennesse, North Carolina and Maryland.
Lisa is an Ironman Certified Coach, level 1 USA Triathlon Coach, level 3 USA Cycling Coach and level 2 certified Training Peaks Coach.
Lisa loves to help people achieve their goals, no matter how big or small. No goal is unimportant, it is just important to always have goals. Goals give us focus and a reason to do these crazy things we multi-sport athletes love to do.
